Easter 2010 – Barcelona

Another trip, made in April this year. “Children in Barcelona” was the starter, and now the Whole Trip to Barcelona is on line, as the main course.

Four days, few quarters, many kilometers walked through the city. About sixty photos, here (over more than 360 made), less correlated each other than any trip. I . . . → Read More: Easter 2010 – Barcelona

Children in Barcelona

A cloudy day during our last trip, in Barcelona. Plaça de Sant Felip Neri, near the cathedal, in the Barri Gotic (the medieval nuke of the city).

A group of children play, run and shout in the old, fashionable place. Maybe they were pupils from the near school.

Normally, I don’t like take photos . . . → Read More: Children in Barcelona

London’s users

In the third part of the trip, we meet the “users“.
Not simple tourists, nor people who only walk around.

But who use what London offer: museums, exhibitions and shops.
Every time “captured” in the very moment when they look, chose, admire and… are surprised.

Another BW photos, taken with the “normal” lens, except a pair of wide views, in which the low end of the zoom was very useful.

Let’s start, in the National Geographic’s store (in Regent’s St.).
A lot of nice photos, and more visitors.

London’s people

This is the second selection from our little London’s Easter holyday (as introduced in the London’s soul).
Organizing the photos, I’ve discovered I had taken only people’s images.
It’s very uncommon for me. More often my photos exclude every human being.

But, here… Another people’s images, still londoners.
Maybe here I’m able to describe better the different kind of human beings that is possible to meet in London.

The City is one of the world financial’s hearts (and of the world’s crisis, of course).
There you can find people like him…

Or, like complement of the many, intrusive, videocameras that follow you everywhere, people like him:

London’s souls

During Easter’s holydays, Fra and I went to London for a four-days trip.
Both of us had seen it before, but never well enough: I was too young, and she came for too few days.

So, we preferred walk around, instead engrave ourself in museums or tourist places.
At the end of jouney, we have seen vety little classical destinations or tourist’s sights, but we have breathed a little London’s soul.

Maybe because my mood, maybe because London itself, maybe because the weather, but all the photos I’ve taken are in BW, often exploiting the D700′s sensitivity and often at large apertures, as my usual.

This first selection show what I consider The soul of London.
Here is a city and only her inhabitants, who live there and keep alive London.

The first photo is taken in a pub near Portobello road, where we were the only folk not interested in the football mach. I’m not sure, but I think it was a 3rd division match…

This second is one of the most dangerous thing I ever did… a photo in the London Underground…

…And it wasn’t the only one!

“Sculpture by the sea” – art in Århus

Every June, or so, Århus’ beach wear an artistic dress, showing some works from around the world.
An half-sunny day is a good moment to take some photos… between a shower and another…

I’m not an expert about modern art, and actually I don’t follow modern art at all. So, my photographic’s selection has the only purpose to collect the photos that I like more, not the works nor the artists.

The location, near the sea, could be an occasion to play with symmetries:

And also the mostly cloudy weather help to found the right light for every subject.

And the sea is often present, like location or in the works themselves.
